Inaugural poet Richard Blanco was honored Sunday by Equality Florida with its Voice For Equality Award at the group's 2013 reception at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach.

Above, Blanco poses with members of LGBT students and faculty from Florida International University.

Also honored Sunday: David Bloom, volunteer and families activist and Safe Schools South Florida founder and executive director Robert Loupo. Pictured below: Bloom, Cindy Brown of Miami Beach Botanical Garden and Loupo.
