Some journalists, including Andrew Sullivan, are suggesting that retiring Benedict XVI and his handsome personal secretary, Georg Ganswein, have an unusually close relationship.
This man – clearly in some kind of love with Ratzinger (and vice-versa) will now be working for the new Pope as secretary in the day and spending the nights with the Pope Emeritus. This is not the Vatican. It’s Melrose Place.
It's been reported by Catholic News Agency that Ganswein will remain the personal secretary of former Pope Benedict.

This begs for the insertion of a favorite play-on-words frequently deployed by the late, great local talk radio giant, NEIL ROGERS...the one about all the Catholic altar boys who've ever been "altered" by the older priests. (hahaha!)
