Things really haven't changed that much since Anita Bryant and the Save Our Children campaign, have they?
This has become a ridiculous situation and only about 20% of the people believe them anymore (luckily as polls indicate) but it's still ridiculous that we (the LGBT community) get linked to child molesters and people who have sex with animals.
It's only been in recent years that more of us have come out to family, friends and jobs that almost everyone knows at least one homosexual as a friend or family and because of that we've become far less intimidating to the population as a whole.

Gay marriage is NOT a conservative cause. It is NOT an American value. Stop breathing your own exhaust for goodness sake!
