SCOUT LEADERS BETRAY BOYS AND PRINCIPLES
Group caves in to blackmail, sacrifices children's safety to homosexualist extremism
This is the beginning of the end for the Boy Scouts of America
MIAMI, FL -Today, the Christian Family Coalition, Florida’s premier human rights and social justice organization, responded to a vote by the Boy Scouts of America National Council betraying the safety and security of the children they're sworn to serve:
Approximately 1,400 members of BSA's National Council met at the national convention in Texas today and 60% voted for a resolution forcing the Scouts to accept as members, boys admitting to be
sexually attracted to other boys. Today’s vote places the safety and security of Boy Scout members at great physical, emotional andspiritual risk. It also betrays the millions of parents who entrust their children to the Scouts. The vote placed bigotry, ignorance, and money above values, principles, and honor.
Shame on COWARDLY Scout leaders.
Boy Scout leaders who voted for this betrayal of longstanding Scout membership standards are dishonorable and cannot be trusted after allowing themselves to be cowered by the financial bullying of homosexual extremists. They have placed a great American institution on a path to extinction. After 103 years of principled leadership, the organization proved that it was incapable of the same kind of courage and honor it's been instilling in American boys since the early 1900s.
They have discarded a membership standard that protected Scouts' innocence and have opened the door to their corruption, it is only a matter of time before the rule on homosexualism extends to adult leaders as well. Almost immediately, BSA councils, Scouting parents, and leaders of the faith-based organizations that charter more than two-thirds of the packs and troops must decide how to respond to this dangerous decision. Every Scout unit "regardless of their religious convictions" is forced to comply. In the last 12 months, BSA's official estimates show as many as 400,000 boys will leave the BSA as a result, devastating the Scouts financially and leaving them very few options legally.
Furthermore, as in the recent incident of a former Boy Scout leader who has been charged with sodomizing a boy in his troop who was under the age of 13, cases like these will grow exponentially, eventually forcing the Scouts into bankruptcy, or worse yet, into irrelevancy!
