'Banned4Life' blood drive 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Unitarian Universalist Congregation, South Miami

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Miami, 7701 SW 76th Avenue in South Miami, will hold a community-wide "Banned4Life" blood drive on Sunday, August 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

From Biscayne Unitarian's Facebook page:

THIS SUNDAY 11:30 -2:30: BU is not holding a service, but head down with a friend to UU Miami (7701 SW 76th Avenue in South Miami) to participate in their "Banned4Life" Blood Drive to highlight the FDA's anti-gay donation policy! Sign the petition, donate blood in a gay man's honor, and advocate for change - plus, donors get a free lunch. Blake Lynch, one of Banned4Life's co-founders, will be joined at the blood dirve by Emmy Derisbrun, his friend with Sickle Cell Anemia who inspired him to try to donate blood for the first time and who is the inspiration behind the Banned4Life project.
