Rainbow flag creator Gilbert Baker spoke Thursday night at Miami Beach Botanical Garden about his experiences through the years as one of the world’s best-known gay activists.

The city of Miami Beach, which flies Baker’s flag above City Hall, also honored him with the key to the city.
