Video | Out Congressional candidate Carl Sciortino Jr. spars with his Tea Party father in TV commercial

News release from openly gay candidate Carl Sciortino Jr., who is running for Congress in Boston:

BOSTON, MA – In an unusual television ad featuring his Tea Party father, liberal Democrat and openly gay candidate Carl Sciortino, Jr. will be going on the air tomorrow in the campaign to succeed Ed Markey in Congress.

"My father and I disagree on just about everything," said Sciortino, "I am grateful that he was willing to appear in my TV ad even though he probably thinks he should be running against me."

The 60-second ad, which will air on local networks, highlights Carl Sciortino, Jr.’s liberal positions in favor of gun control, abortion rights, tax reform, pay equity, and equal rights for all Americans.  Sciortino’s father, Tea Party supporter Carl Sciortino, Sr., disagrees with his son on all of these issues and expressed his frustration at his son’s liberal philosophy.
