Tallahassee reporter Matt Horn comes out to fans on National Coming Out Day

matt hornMedia Bistro reports that on National Coming Out Day last week, Capitol News Service reporter Matt Horn told Facebook fans he is gay:

So for those of you who don't know today is "coming out day". I have been comfortable with my sexual orientation for years. But, I'm officially making it public. Not to stir attention or anything like that; but, to let everyone know it's okay to be you. It doesn't make a difference what your religion is, sexual orientation, political beliefs, ethnicity, etc. Just be you. Be the best you can be and try to make a positive change in the world. Remember this: if we were all the same and had the same beliefs, etcetera, it would be an awfully boring place to live.

I hope this at the very least lets someone know who's struggling with whatever, they have an ally.

Happy Friday!
