Log Cabin Republicans of Miami ‘commend and congratulate’ same-sex couples suing to marry

News release from Log Cabin Republicans of Miami:

imageJanuary 22, 2014 - Log Cabin Republicans of Miami would like to commend and congratulate the 6 same sex couples who, yesterday, filed a law suit in Miami Dade County Florida to challenge our State’s same sex marriage ban. These couples are Catherina Pareto and Karla Arguello, Dr. Juan Carlos Rodríguez and David Price, Vanessa and Melanie Alenier, Todd and Jeff Delmay, Summer Greene and Pamela Faerber and Don Price Johnston and Jorge Isaias Díaz.

We stand with them as they embark on what we are sure will be a successful ruling on the side of equality for all. We, here at Log Cabin Republicans of Miami, stand strong for Individual Liberty and Personal Freedom. It is with that Individual Liberty that these couples pursue their personal freedom towards equality today and every day. They are not alone! We invite them to join LCR Miami at our next meeting so that we may come together and continue our fight for Marriage Equality. We not only admire their strength, but stand ready to support their efforts in whatever way we can. We wish them luck and urge the State of Florida to rid the LGBT community of inequality once and for all.

About Log Cabin Republicans of Miami:

We are an organization comprised of both Gay and Straight Republicans in Miami Dade County. We believe in limited government, a strong national defense, free markets, low taxes, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. Log Cabin Republicans represents an important part of the American family—taxpaying, hard-working people who proudly believe in this nation’s greatness. We also believe all Americans have the right to liberty and equality. We believe equality for LGBT Americans is in the finest tradition of the Republican Party. We educate our Party about why inclusion wins. Opposing gay and lesbian equality is inconsistent with the GOP’s core principles of smaller government and personal freedom.
