Six same-sex couples sue Florida for right to marry

Six same-sex couples and Equality Florida Institute on Tuesday sued the state of Florida for the right to marry.

“Florida leads the deep South,” said Nadine Smith, CEO of Equality Florida, the state’s leading gay-rights group. “Seventy-five percent of Floridians believe that marriage or all the rights of marriage should be provided to same-sex couples.”
