Winter Party Festival returning to renovated Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach in 2015

News release from Winter Party Festival:

image008MIAMI BEACH, FL – June 10, 2014 – A new and diverse experience is in store for guests at the 22nd edition of Winter Party Festival, with organizers at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force promising innovative events and activities and amped-up favorites as well as a move back to the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach as host hotel. Winter Party Festival will run March 4 – 9, 2015 with events taking place at trend-setting venues throughout Miami Beach and Miami.

After a $150 million room and common area redesign and renovation, the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach will welcome guests as the Winter Party Festival host hotel for 2015. The quintessential 200-room South Beach historic property has undergone a complete upgrade and transformation to restore its original glamour and cater to the sophisticated travelers it looks forward to hosting. Under the new management stewardship of Wyndham Grand Hotels and Resorts, the revitalized resort will reflect the Shelborne’s authentic Art Deco glamour and opulence, while incorporating the modern day comforts and conveniences.

“We’re excited to be returning to the Shelborne,” said Justin Bell, chair of the Winter Party Festival. “Our guests enthusiastically embraced the Shelborne two years ago, and with the multi-million dollar renovation this year, this already extraordinary architectural jewel is sure to dazzle our guests even more in 2015.”

In addition to serving as the host hotel, Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach will provide the location for the Welcome Center and the sure-to-sell-out pool party on the Saturday of Winter Party Festival. As one of Miami’s most celebrated beachfront resorts, Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach features unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean in a modern, relaxed setting. Located in the heart of the Art Deco District and within walking distance to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive, the resort allows Winter Party Festival guests to enjoy the best of what Miami Beach has to offer.

“We are so pleased to welcome guests back for the 22nd Winter Party Festival,” stated Nils Stolzlechner, general manager of Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach. “For Winter Party Festival guests who visited the property last time, next year will be a completely new experience for them. For our new guests, the experience will rival world-class hotels with our luxurious appointments and Art Deco elegance.”

Winter Party Festival 2015 will feature six days of non-stop action featuring pulse-raising dance parties and welcoming receptions to sophisticated art exhibitions, all designed to celebrate the spirit of the LGBT community and its allies. Produced by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Winter PartyFestival proceeds -- along with proceeds from the Miami Recognition Dinner -- support the important work of the Task Force to build power, take action and create positive, lasting change for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their families throughout the country. A significant portion of the proceeds also funds multiple organizations serving the LGBT community in South Florida through a grant made by the Task Force to the GLBT Community Projects Fund of The Miami Foundation.

Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach is currently offering special rates for guests who want to secure their spot at the host hotel early. Rates start at $329, single or double, with a minimum two-night stay.
