A reporter's view

Carol glasses
Google Glass let me turn the tables on Miami Herald photographer Patrick Farrell. With a finger swipe, I made a video of Army Col. Gregory Julian, public affairs officer at the U.S. Southern Command, our neighbor at Herald headquarters in Doral, Florida. Southcom's Ray Sarracino, arms crossed, looks on just outside the front door of the Herald's offices as Farrell captured the moment to illustrate how I might be using this new technological tool in the future. Julian was eager to see it, and agreed to participate in the photo shoot on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013. I posted this snapshot real time.
