Pharmacies lend a helping hand to those waiting on insurance ID cards


If you're one of the millions who just became covered under a health plan but haven't received your insurance ID card yet, big drug chains are eager to help.

Several drugstore retailers have said they will fill or refill prescriptions to tide you over until your card arrives. Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart are among the stores willing to wait for payment from your insurer.

The chains hope their good will gesture will gain them customers. Walgreens among others said it would foot the bill for up to a month. Read more.
