Waiting until the 11th hour to enroll in a health plan? Miami has an event for you.

Miami Dade College is hosting the last sessions of Enroll America informational workshops on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at its Kendall, North and Wolfson Campuses.  About_Miami_Dade_tcm6-1707

Free and open to the public, the workshops will answer questions and provide assistance regarding Florida’s new insurance marketplace.  The ACA enrollment deadline is March 31.

Trained volunteers will be on hand to help guide MDC students and the public on the application and enrollment process. This effort is focused on connecting the community with the right resources and information to select a health insurance plan that best fits individual needs and budgets.

MDC began the workshops last fall and has held nearly a dozen sessions across its campuses.
