Medicaid fraudsters arrested in Broward

Two Broward County residents are in custody after allegedly defrauding the Florida Medicaid program out of more than $18,000. The Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrested Julia Privis and Alla Privis on felony warrants.  Suspected Hacker behind World's Biggest DDoS attack arrested

The Privises were employed by Ultimate Home Care, Inc. in Hallandale Beach at the time and billed Medicaid for services not rendered, including range of motion exercises, urine tests and bathing and skin care, totalling more than $18,000.

Julia Privis is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud, a second-degree felony and two counts of grand theft, both third-degree felonies. If convicted, she faces up to 25 years in prison. Alla Privis is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud and one count of grand theft, both third-degree felonies. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.

The case is being prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
