Congrats to Palmetto's swim teams on their GMAC wins. Something people didn't read is that with the Panthers victories, one of the longest streaks in Miami-Dade County ended. It broke Columbus' string of 24 consecutive years winning GMAC swimming titles. It was a bit forgotten since last year there was no GMAC championship event due to Hurricane Katrina.
But nonetheless congrats to Palmetto and Columbus on almost two decades and a half of dominance.
