Power rising down south in Dade...way down south

One time for the Homestead Broncos, who I've heard feel disrespected by the lack of media attention their squad has had this season.

All I can say is, keep it up and that will soon change.

What a season Homestead is having, just from sheer drama.

After blowing a 13-point lead against Booker T. Washington, what should have been a huge opening day win turned into defeat. Then they forfeit a game against Varela after holding an unsanctioned practice at the school during that confusing Tropical Storm Ernesto week when half the county thought they weren't playing, then suddenly the games were back on.

After all that, this team has blitzed the past 4 opponents they've played. And for everyone who said 67-7 against Coral Park, big whoop! Check out who else they've crushed.

South Miami 44-0. This is a solid Cobra team with a very athletic playmaker in Mike Harris at quarterback and they were held off the scoreboard.

Palmetto 41-7 and of course tonight a second-half shutout of Killian, which played Northwestern tough and beat Southridge last week.

This team is getting it done on offense, defense and special teams. The game vs. the Ridge next week has the makings of a great one.
