With holiday hoops almost wrapped up what's been the biggest surprise of the first half of the boys' basketball season in Dade?
-Miami Springs, which has wins over Northwestern, Pace and Miami High, and nearly beat Norland.
-Norland, which is 13-2 in spite of losing Player of the Year Zachery Peacock.
-Northwestern, which is also tearing it up despite losing star guard Bertram Stracham.
-Pace struggling lately in spite of having one of its best teams in years.
