Broward Volleyball Rankings - Week 3

We're two and a half weeks into the volleyball season, so it's time to re-evaluate my preseason volleyball rankings. This is something I'm going to try to do each week. Next week, the state volleyball poll will be coming out, and I will let everybody know how I voted in that. So here we go.

1. Cardinal Gibbons; 2. St. Thomas Aquinas; 3. Cypress Bay; 4. Coral Springs Christian; 5. Pine Crest; 6. Nova; 7. Hollywood Hills; 8. Calvary Christian; 9. Pines Charter; 10. Archbishop McCarthy.

No surprises with the top two teams as Gibbons extended its win streak to 38 this week, and St. Thomas scored a huge win against Pine Crest, who drop to fifth after a 1-2 start. The biggest jump fron the preaseason poll is Coral Springs Christian, who I did not rank to start the season, but defeated Pine Crest on Monday and Sagemont on Tuesday to remain unbeaten. Just missing the cut - Westminster Acadmey, Highlands Christian, Northeast, North Broward, American Heritage.

And yes, I do know that the week is not over, but with so few games on the schedule today and tomorrow, I figured it was a good time to go put this list together. So from here on out, these rankings will be a Wednesday event. Or atleast I will try to make it one.
