Let's try this again, LIVE prep sports blog Tuesday at 7 p.m.!

Let's try this one more time.

In light of the momentum from Northwestern's big victory and the tons of viewers Manny and I had on the blog this past week, we're hoping for some good participation on  tomorrow's live prep chat on this blog from  7 to 8 p.m.

Bob Emanuel and I will  be taking your high school sports questions live.

Take advantage, 3-0-5 and 9-5-4.

You can even leave questions ahead of time as I will be posting another reminder early tomorrow.

In news, the new National Prep Football poll is out and NW is No. 1 as expected.

St. Xavier of Ohio is 2nd,  followed by Southlake Carroll at 3.

Pahokee and Booker T. are the only other ranked Florida teams at 13th and 15th respectively.

I've noticed a mark improvement in this year's southwest team. Seems like it's dominated by their runningback. Do you think other school's such as Varela, Braddock or Coral Park may be reaching those levels any time soon?

Franco Lolan

Congratulations go out to all the BULLS! Thank you for representing Florida!

Bob and Andre, as you probably didn't see given you were in Texas I believe, but I'm sure read about and studied from the stats, STA had a pretty poor game Friday night. The defense allowed THIRTY points, special teams hasn't been stellar, and the offense didn't even score until the second quarter.

What do you expect to happen against Hollywood Hills in two weeks? Do you feel the problem is with the size, speed, etc. of this team or experience or they haven't clicked yet or what? What is needed?

I am very proud of the Northwestern Bulls. They have proven that hard work surely pays off. Hats off to Sean Spence, Aldarius Johnson,Tommy Streeter and Jacory Harris on a job well done. As well as the entire team.

As a Bulls fan I loved listening to every moment of that victory on Southlake Carroll's radio broadcast.

What team should we send over next to give them another taste of defeat courtesy of Dade County?

Andre

Here we go,
Answering live now. First question.

Q: I've noticed a mark improvement in this year's southwest team. Seems like it's dominated by their runningback. Do you think other school's such as Varela, Braddock or Coral Park may be reaching those levels any time soon?

A: Southwest has a pair of talented sophomores including Hosey Williams, who I'll assume is who you are referring to. I think they will move the Eagles out of the cellar dwellar pack in that district, however, it remains to be seen if they can contend with Sunset, Varela, 2-0 Braddock for a playoff spot.
I think Braddock appears to be making the best strides out of the teams you mentioned. Their offense has shown balance so far, and their defense capitalized on turnovers in their win vs. Coral Reef last week - something vital in this tight of a district. I think the Bulldogs' clash with Varela Thursday night at Harris is a measuring stick game.

I think if you're going to send a team other than BTW and NW, it would have to be Central. The team loaded with talented underclassmen that looks like the team of the future in Dade.

It would be great to see a Dade team go further and take on a California team...or even better, give them what everyone wants and I think they've earned - a nationally-televised HOME game once FIU has completed its stadium renovations.

Q from Franco Lolan: Bob and Andre, as you probably didn't see given you were in Texas I believe, but I'm sure read about and studied from the stats, STA had a pretty poor game Friday night. The defense allowed THIRTY points, special teams hasn't been stellar, and the offense didn't even score until the second quarter.

A: Franco, thanks for joining us again. I did not go to Texas (that was my Dade counterparts making the trip), but did notice the result.

I don’t know what to make of it. Coach George Smith has shared things with me about his expectations for this team, and I think games like last Friday are part of the process.

You simply cannot graduate the talent the Raiders have over the past few years and be as good. That said, I think potential exists for STA to get back to a championship level if the young players develop. I did not see Jeremiah Harden’s name in the stats, so I’m not sure what happened there.

I saw Hills on Saturday and thought the Spartans looked good. I still don’t think they can compete with Aquinas though. My early prediction: STA 24, Hollywood Hills 17. Yes, I think it will be close.

Bob Emanuel Jr.

Q from Jordan Thompson: what is with Chaminade Madonna?
They was a powerhouse of Florida? Why are they 1-2 now
A: Chaminade lost a lot of talent to graduation. Then the Lions lost more when kids transferred following Mark Guandolo’s departure. LB Tarik Rollins is out for the year with an ACL tear.

American Heritage will pass Chaminade this year and advance deep into the playoffs. How deep? Can’t say. I have not seen the Patriots yet.

Ryan

I will say that the "good" thing for STA is the Hills game is at home where they looked pretty darn good last time they were there.

Bob Emanuel Jr.

Ryan: Yes, it is a home game for the Raiders. It should be interesting. At this point, that is the game I'm planning to attend next week.

Ryan

Bob, with the struggles STA has had on the road is @ Deerfield the game that would look to be STA's toughest test? Or is it a home game like Hills or Miramar at the end?

Bob Emanuel Jr.

Ryan,

I would think both the Deerfield Beach and Miramar games will be tougher.

I think Hollywood Hills is a good team, so I do not mean to disrespect the Spartans. I just think Deerfield and Miramar are more talented and would pose a more difficult challenge to the Raiders.

When will the game be televised

mrgrandroyal

when will the bulls and the dragon game be televised.

MancuniasRedArmy

DArnit, my job ran late last night and I couldn't make here in time. Thanks for the answer tomy earlier question. I was also going to ask you (maybe for a later date), what players you thought were under the radar that really could make an impact from Broward.

herb

yo! man-man y r they having games @ 4:00 n on wed. nights?

HighskoolFootballFan

Where do you get your Leaderboard statstics from? Do your beat writers submit them from each game OR are they submitted by each school? I ask because they are, #1 not up to date and #2 NOT INCLUSIVE of the majority of athletes playing this year. Why is that?
