All-State football week continues

Class 4A All-State team has been released today.

   Four Booker T. Washington players headlined the Class 4A
All-State team released Thursday by the Florida Sports Writers

   Senior cornerback Brandon Harris, defensive end Kambriel
Willis, wide receiver Davon Johnson and linebacker Tarvis
Pullins all earned first team honors. The four played key
roles in guiding Booker T. to a 14-0 record and its first
state championship since the high school re-opened in 1999.

   Harris, last year's Miami Herald Class 6A-4A Athlete of the
Year, had six interceptions and three sacks. Willis, a Florida
International University commitment, had 28 sacks. Johnson, a
University of Miami commitment, returned a pair of kickoffs
for touchdowns and caught seven touchdown passes. Pullins had
85 tackles and 11 sacks.

   Booker T. wide receiver Thearon Collier, also a UM
commitment, made second team. Sophomore kicker Oscar Diaz earn
ed third team honors.

Class 5A will be released Friday, with Class 6A following Saturday.

South Florida's state champions should be well-represented in each.
