The South Florida area will be well represented this weekend (July 12-13) at the University of South Florida Sling & Shoot 7-on-7 tournament.
Over 40 schools will be on hand for the best annual gathering of the top teams from throughout the state of Florida.
Monsignor Pace will be joined by Broward County teams Hollywood Hills and Hallandale, and Boca Raton (Palm Beach County) in what looks like a real treat for the athletes, coaches and fans.
Heading to USF will be Tampa-area teams Valrico Bloomingdale, Lennard, Leto, Tampa Freedom, Tampa Riverview, Tampa Jefferson, St. Petersburg Lakewood, Pinellas Park, Clearwater Central Catholic, Springstead, Tampa Alonso, Tampa Spoto, St. Petersburg Gibbs, Tampa Middleton, Clearwater Countryside Gibbs and powerhouse Plant.
Also coming from the Gulf Coast are Sarasota Riverview, Venice, Punta Gorda Charlotte and Sarasota Cardinal Mooney
Southwest Florida power Naples will also be there along with Gulf Coast.
Also coming will be Tarpon Springs East Lake, Orlando Dr. Phillips, Lakeland Penarock, Lakeland Lake Gibson, Longwood Lyman, Dunedin, Lakeland George Jenkins, Zephyrhills, Dade City Pasco, Tarpon Springs, East Ridge and St. Cloud,
The Ocala area will have Lake Weir and power North Marion. Jacksonville Lee will also be on hand.
Games begin on both days at 10 a.m.
