South Plantation athletic director Matt Schroeder announced the hiring of Kenneth Simmonds as the school’s new boys’ track coach.
Simmonds, a math teach who graduated from Tallahassee Lincoln, served as an assistant coach the past four seasons with the Paladins.
Andre Henry, who coached the boys’ team last year, resigned following the 2007 season.

Simmonds knows the sport. But he's a pretty boy. How you gonna coach track when you don't want to sweat or you hate the sun. SPHS needs to talk Ward into returning.
