Difton will head to UConn

Yet another member of the national champion St. Thomas Aquinas football team is set to move on to the next level.

Over the weekend, receiver Dwayne Difton announced that he would be attending the University of Connecticut.

The 5-11, 170-pounder, who originally committed to the University of South Florida, but wanted to explore his options, chose the Huskies over Minnesota, Syracuse, Purdue, Southern Mississippi, Rutgers and USF.

Difton was the fourth rated player in Broward County by the Miami Herald after catching 33 passes for 549 yards and six touchdowns for the 5A state champions.
