The University of South Florida continued to become a national force on Thursday when the Bulls added former Deerfield Beach defensive end standout Jason Pierre-Paul, a 6-5, 280-pounder, who was the highest rated defensive end prospects in the country.
Pierre Paul, who originally committed to the University of Central Florida out of high school, ended up at the Canyons and had an All-American season as a freshman before transferring to Fort Scott in Kansas, where he had 58 tackles, 15 for loss, 10 sacks and one interception, and was named a second team All-American and a first team all-Jayhawk Conference.
As a freshman at Canyons, Pierre-Paul amassed 49 tackles, 14 sacks, an amazing 19 tackles-for-loss, one interception, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery and he's off to a great start already for the Greyhounds.
