For those baseball fans anxious for the postseason, here's an early look at the way the GMAC tournament bracket is shaping up.
The action begins Monday with the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals Tuesday and the final on Thursday.
Monday's games will be played at Alex Fernandez Field in Hialeah and Southridge.
The games at Fernandez will be - Goleman vs. either Killian or Palmetto at 3:30 p.m. followed by Columbus vs. Hialeah at 6:30 p.m.
Meanwhile at Southridge, Ferguson will play either Miami High or Miami Springs at 3:30, followed by Southridge vs. American at 6:30
The semis will be at 3:30 and 6:30 on Tuesday at Southridge and will pit the winner of Goleman-Palmetto/Killian against Ferguson or MHS/Springs. The other game will be Southridge-American winner against the Hialeah-Columbus winner.
The final will be played at a site to be determined Thursday at 6:30.

Hialeah and Southridge are the favorites in my opinion, but Columbus will be tough to beat.

Ferguson went 11-3 and columbus went 9-5 in the toughest district in the state . Last year the championship was played by the 2 teams from this district(southmiami + columbus) ,,,ferguson is way too tough and beats columbus in the finals!!

GMAC IS GARBAGE! REAL TEAMS DONT CARE ABOUT IT! THEY CARE ABOUT DISTRICTS...SO MOST GOOD TEAMS SAVE THEIR PITCHING, BUT FOR OTHER TEAMS, THE GMAC IS THEIR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

gmac is the miami championship and only the top 2 teams in each district make it, its an honor and a pride thing to even make and an honor to win it no one saves any pitching i have witnessed it for over 10 years. They have time to rest before district because all these teams have byes. And i agree with the comment above i think ferguson is the team to beat!
