Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will shine the spotlight on many athletes during the spring and summer.

Started out his career as a linebacker, but has settled into a safety position that several high profile college coaches from across the country have been bowled over with. This young man is a leader, a versatile and passionate competitor who is a tremendous teammate.

With his tremendous grades in the classroom, his choices have been wide open to some of the best colleges in the country. His family will continue to look at every option available as Lyons continues to showcase his skills at team events as well as at elite events that have put him directly in the spotlight.

A top 100 statewide player who has been recognized nationally for his hard work on and off of the playing field.
