Varela's Undray Clark to Maryland

From the first time Undray Clark saw the University of Maryland, he was sold. It was just like he had thought it would be.

On Wednesday, a week after returning from his trip to College Park, with schools such as Duke and Minnesota still interested, the 5-11, 175-pound Felix Varela safety made his decision.

"It was like home," Clark said. "Everything about the campus, the coaching staff and the people I met was a perfect fit for me."

One of the most overlooked athletes in South Florida, Clark has continued to turn heads at every event he and his teammates have been to.

An impressive football talent that head coach Matt Dixon has been talking about over the past year, Clark finally showed why so many opponents have thought so highly of him.

"Last year when I saw him play, it was a no brainer that people were missing out on a very promising talent," said Charles Fishbein of EliteScoutingServices.com. "This is a football player who is getting better and better every time we watch him."

Clark is currently the only player from the state of Florida that is committed to the Terrapins.
