Shazier, Held and Voss on radio

Two weeks until the regular season starts, and the High School Gridiron Report moves on this Wednesday night on WQAM (560 AM).

Joining Larry Blustein and Kevin Rogers on the show from 9-10 are Plantation linebacker Ryan Shazier, South Broward head coach Allen Held and Barrow (Alaska) High head coach Mark Voss.

Shazier, who was to join the show last week, will be the first on this week at 9:15 as the University of Florida commitment talks about the summer, the recruiting process and this fall, where his Colonels are picked as one of the teams to watch.

He was a member of the national championship 7-on-7 South Florida Express team that captured the title in July at the University of Alabama.

Heading into his third decade as a coach in Broward County, the former Hallandale High coach gives it another shot as his Bulldogs fell short last season, losing to district foe St. Thomas Aquinas twice in a 10-2 season.

The Bulldogs return one of the most exciting players in the state in running back/defensive back/return specialist Kevin Grooms, who enters his senior year as one of the players to keep an eye on.

Located on the Arctic Ocean, where summer temperatures rise to mid 30s is the northernmost city in the USA – Barrow, Alaska.

The last sport that most would think about is high school football, but Coach Voss and the Barrow Whalers have plenty to be proud about with a new playing surface and a 1-1 record, heading into this week's game.

Two years ago, invited to the Jacksonville area by the mother of then Bartram Trail quarterback Kyle Parker, who starts for Clemson, a new chapter in Barrow High football was written.

I think you need a picture as a player to watch, which is Darius Hall LB/FB 5'11 220 from Coral Reef HS

I want to report a recruiting violation on HLM football program. I understand there coaches went out and recruited NIck Pergakis a back-up QB from Coral Reef, it is my understanding Pergakis lives right next to Palmetto HS with his famiy, plus he already tranfered from Palmetto to Coral Reef how could this happen when the HLM coach went to there home on this matter. Anyway I also wanted to point out that Pergakis is scared of competition he wanted the QB job handed to him and it seems to me that is what happened at HLM, they will be sorry for that because he is not a really good QB anyway. Go Barracudas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
