JACKSONVILLE - St. Thomas Aquinas (5A - Fort Lauderdale) remains the #1 team in the Beef O Brady s Top 25, Florida s only all-classification poll. However, there is a new #2 after the fourth week of high school football.
The Raiders collected four first place votes and 262 overall points, easily distancing themselves from Cocoa (2A), which garnered five first place votes and 248 points. The Tigers took the #2 spot from Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer (4A) which fell to fourth behind Seffner Armwood (4A). Pensacola slipped from third to fifth.
Bradenton Manatee (5A) remained sixth, with one first place vote, followed by Tampa Jefferson (3A). Orlando Dr. Phillips (6A) and Miami Northwestern (6A) flipped spots from 8th and 9th, while Miami Central (6A) was tenth. The overall teams remained in the poll, as no team in the Top 25 lost last week. This week promises to be different.
St. Thomas Aquinas hosts Camden County (GA) a national power that defeated Miami Central earlier this year 45-42. #3 Armwood travels to Dads Stadium to face #17 Plant. Ninth-ranked Miami Northwestern takes on #12 Miami Washington and then faces #10 Miami Central next week.

BULLS. IT'S TIME TO PROVE TO THE WORLD YOU'RE NO FLUKE. DEFEAT BTW AND COME BACK AND DEFEAT MIAMI CENTRAL AND THIS TEAM WILL BE ESTABLISHING IT'S OWN IDENTITY. UNLIKE THE PREVIOUS TWO YEARS. WE NEED TO ESTABLISH OURSELF BY BEATING MIAMI CENTRAL TWICE. BTW AND MIAMI CENTRAL ARE GREAT TEAMS, BUT GREAT TEAMS ARE DEFEATED BY GREATER TEAMS. GO BULLS GO. CLAIM YOUR PROPERTY AND CLAIM YOUR TERRITORY.JOSHUA 1:9

This is a ridiculous ranking system. The south Florida teams are EASILY the most talented, and Northwestern and Central should at LEAST be in the top 5, not the random small schools who don't play the same level of competition.
Dwyer loses a game this early in the season and is still ranked top 5? Incredible.
GO COLUMBUS!

Believe that Manatee, Dwyer, Northwestern, and Miami Central are ranked too low.
In Dwyer's case the country saw them robbed of a win against a nationally ranked Glenville, Ohio team that would manhandle the majority of the teams in this poll.

BALONEY O BRADY'S RANKING SYSTEM MAKES ME LAUGH, BUT THAT'S GOOD. LAUGHTER IS GOOD MEDICINE TO THE SOUL. I WOULD PUT NORTHWESTERN, CENTRAL AND MAYBE BTW AGAINST ANY TEAM IN THAT POLL. I HAVE NO PROBLEM RIGHT NOW WITH ST. THOMAS BEING FIRST, BUT NORTHWESTERN BEING NINTH AND DR. PHILLIPS BEING EIGHTH. EVEN THE CLASS 6-A POLL HAVE NORTHWESTERN RANKED FIRST WAY AHEAD OF DR. PHILLIPS.
WHAT DON'T COME OUT IN THE WASH, WILL COME OUT IN THE RINSE. PSALMS 119:165

Rick .... I agree. This poll does the southern schools no justice! I can not understand how the heck Northwestern is ranked lower than number one! Central and BTW should also be in the top five. What to do now...look at who is casting the votes is it balanced ..north vs south; are there paying members who will always vote a school number one when they are not;etc.. This poll does not make any sense too me!

ANNETTE: I HAVE MY GUT OPINION AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS BALONEY OBRADY POLL, BUT OUT OF RESPECT. I'LL PONDER IT IN MY HEART, AND HANDLE IT THE DEMOCRATIC WAY. LOOK LIKE ESPN IS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS A GREAT TEAM WHEN THEY SEE ONE. THAT'S OKAY. THE SMILE STARTED WITH GOLIATH, BUT ENDED WITH DAVID. THAT'S WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME. JOSHUA 1:9 AMOS 9:13
