Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will continue to shine the spotlight on many athletes during the pre-spring, spring and summer.
With the chance to see the athletes away from the football field as well, we can bring you up close and personal with some of the top prospects in the nation - right here in our own backyard.
Don't forget that the exposure continues on FACEBOOK (Herald Recruiting) and via Twitter @ larryblustein.
PLAYER: Deon Bush
SCHOOL: Christopher Columbus
HEAD FOOTBALL COACH: Chris Merritt
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: It isn't very often in the competitive world of Miami-Dade County football that a player has four years to show what they can do at the varsity level. This is certainly a very rare player indeed.
From the time he stepped onto the playing field for the Explorers, there was no getting around that this was going to be an athlete who followed in the impressive footsteps of his older brother Gary, who is at Purdue.
A very fluid, strong and quick player in the defensive secondary who has proven that even if you catch a ball on him, he will make you pay.
There is little doubt why colleges from all over the country are starting to offer him. This is an elite player at the national level - who is only getting better and gaining more experience.
