Mcgarrett kings1
Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will continue to shine the spotlight on many athletes during the pre-spring, spring and summer.

With the chance to see the athletes away from the football field as well, we can bring you up close and personal with some of the top prospects in the nation - right here in our own backyard.

Don't forget that the exposure continues on FACEBOOK (Herald Recruiting) and via Twitter @ larryblustein.

PLAYER: Macgarrett Kings

YEAR: 2012

SCHOOL: University School

CITY: Davie

POSITION: RB/WR

HEIGHT: 5-10

WEIGHT: 180

HEAD FOOTBALL COACH: Roger Harriott

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Having the advantage of watching so many quality athletes from the first day they start playing the sport has many advantages.

This is an athlete who was a youth football standout, followed that up by making an impression at American Heritage Plantation before coming to compete for the 2B state runner-up Suns.

Extremely talented football player who has the potential to become one of the better receiving prospects, using his running back instincts and quickness.

Not only has he made a lasting impression as a runner, but also is considered one of the top all-around backs and kick returners in Florida.

This is easily one of the top players in a class that is loaded with athletes once again!
