WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: In a region loaded with talent, here is one of those quality football players who will start to emerge as an elite player.

While he played a role during the Rockets' 2010 run to a 6A state title, this is a prospect who will become more of a force this year during a season in which his senior leadership and performance will be essential. He showed several times this past year how special he will be.

Having watched him play two years ago while he was Killian, his growth and maturity have really started to kick in as he has already proven that he has a chance to be one of the most athletic and physical players on an always athletic team.

As we head toward spring, this is a player to remember for so many reasons. he has the size, speed and plenty of athletic ability to make a real impact in 2011.

Man this boy gonna get shut down by my Nwest BULLS. Its ours this year!

tex

I suppose he transfered from Killian to Central for better academics!!!!!!!!!! Yeah right!!!!! Why can't ghetto schools win with kids in own district? This kid will be working at Denny's in 10 years.

Jimmy Johnson

Im not saying Central is right for get 32 transferrs in last year some of the better kids they picked up were staters on other teams in Dade County on this year's state team.. But who is the jerk or idiot named TEX who sent in that last blog? Who are you to say Central is not a school of higher learning. I'll have you know that Central is no longer a F school jerk. What gives you the right to tell a kid what he will be doing in 10 yrs. Who knows that same kid my be your BOSS at Dennys in 10yrs and telling you what to do A-----E!

I Can

Does anyone ever wonder why every kid that gets profiled from Central has been at other schools before? Who admits all these transfers? Are there any rules for transfering or is it all just wide open? I thought sports in schools was a priviledge, now you have kids transferring schools on the sole basis of sports. At any point in time will there be someone accountable for the chaos that has become dade county athletics? Can Ms. Golden do anything about this? Can the athletic directors do anything about this? Can the coaches stop trying to manipulate children into leaving their home schools? Is it possible that the highschool coaches, especially from the inner city, will ever coach their own kids? Can we please stop saying coaches are great because they are able to steal players from other coaches who have developed them? At any point will these questions be answered, Ms. Golden?

i am so tried of people worried about were these kids play sports at its there dam future like i said yesterdayif kid wants to go here he or she will have the best opportunity to sucessed them leave them alone hell aint nobody talking about how many kids go to hiealeh miami springs even northwestern that dont stay in the area and they being doing it for year so you all please let central have its time in peace nobody complain when carol city was on top the west was on top god knows all them kids wasnt directly out the area so let go me personally it dont bother me if a kid wants to go to a better program only cause its central never seen so much haters in my life

Jimmy Johnson

LOL its amazing that we are sitting here talking about where a kid is going to school. If kids think they may have a better chance of going off to college at another school so be it God Blesse them. Go to college I thought was apart of the big picture. But when these kids are being used by a grown up for their own self gratification so they can walk around town and say we won STATE. And all the kid gets out of it is a ring and jacket. That is terrible and we all know that has happen several times over the yrs at OUR so called top football teams in Dade County no need to mention the schools name. There 100's of kids in that situation right now. Our concern should be are these kids getting a shot at college not how man State Titles they can win. And trust me there are some schools in DADE County that are doing it the right way by coaching what they have in there school. But no one is saying anything about those same kids going around town tell 3 maybe 4 different schools at one time that they want to come to their school not for a education but just to play football. Some of these kids are out there actually trying to arrange deals like they are playing in the NFL. And the bad thing about it is you have so called GROWN UPS at certain schools out actually entertianing these kids because they can play football not because they are a good student or a good mannerable kid. What is high school football coming to?

A. Snipes

I hear what everyone is saying but if its all about the kids like we claim, then we know that no kid or coach can transfer a kid without the parent. For years Central was an F school so alot of its atheletes was aloud to attend other schools no one said anything about that. Oh yeah don't forget its all about giving the kids a shot a college. Central was amongst one the top schools in country that signed kids to scholarships. So it looks like they did their jobs of getting the kids a shot.

i think we all are missing the point with these kids transfering schools 1) if it gives the kid a better shot at going to college I SAY GO FOR IT, BUT IF U ARE NOT MAKING THE GRADE AT 1 SCHOOL GOING TO ANOTHER TO HAVE THE SAME 2.0 GPA ISN'T WORTH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY FOOTBALL, 2) these kids who transfer do it with the thought they can win a championship easier when you're surrounded by great athletes ,but if you were to accomplish something where they started HS it would (to me) mean more to them 3) i think transfers who have transfered multiple times shouldn't be allowed to continue to transfer some kids have been in 4 high schools in 4 yrs that doesnt make any sense IM NOT AGAINST DOING WHAT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF YOUR CHILD BUT WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR ATHLETES RUN TO A BETTER TEAM DON'T DO THE WORK TO MAKE THE TEAM YOUR WITH BETTER THEY WILL FIND IT DIFFCULT TO MOVE THAT WAY IF THEY MAKE IT TO COLLEGE (NCAA RULES).
