HERALD SPOTLIGHT: Jarvon Anderson

Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will continue to shine the spotlight on many athletes during the pre-spring, spring and summer.

With the chance to see the athletes away from the football field as well, we can bring you up close and personal with some of the top prospects in the nation - right here in our own backyard.

Don't forget that the exposure continues on FACEBOOK (Herald Recruiting) and via Twitter @ larryblustein.

CITY: Miami

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The true measure of any athlete is to go out and get it done time after time. Here is yet another top-flight D1 talent who has flown way beneath the radar screen and has the chance to do some special things.

A quality football talent who can put it all together on either side of the ball and make a solid impact.

As a runner, here is a back who gets to the hole quickly and has the instincts, speed and strength to make something bigger happen any time he touches the ball. He is elusive and is a very physical player.

As a pass receiver, he has proven that his concentration and ability to catch the ball adds yet another dimension to his already loaded game.

Even as a safety in the secondary, he has the athletic ability and is instinctive enough to know what direction the ball is headed.
