HERALD SPOTLIGHT: Jared Sanders

Jared sanders1
Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will continue to shine the spotlight on many athletes during the pre-spring, spring and summer.

With the chance to see the athletes away from the football field as well, we can bring you up close and personal with some of the top prospects in the nation - right here in our own backyard.

Don't forget that the exposure continues on FACEBOOK (Herald Recruiting) and via Twitter @ larryblustein.

PLAYER: Jared Sanders

YEAR: 2012

SCHOOL: Hallandale

CITY: Hallandale

POSITION: RB/CB

HEIGHT: 5-7

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Yet another of those quality football players who has speed, tremendous running instincts and the athletic ability to catch balls out of the backfield.

This is a prospect who has been overlooked because of his size. Because he doesn't fit that certain height and weight category, many schools have passed him by, opting for larger athletes, but not necessarily better!

This is a player we have watched for a number of years now, and there is little doubt that he can perform at any level. While he is a natural line from scrimmage runner, he has the athletic ability and football skill level to switch positions.

His instincts as a kick returner and a slot player give him a true advantage. While his speed will open doors, his talent will sell college coaches. No matter how small he's perceived.
