Thomas, Bosa, Heidelburg on radio Tuesday

Maroonefronters1
The Maroone High School Gridiron Report
kicks this Tuesday night's 9-10 show on WQAM (560 AM) Radio into high gear with a great lineup of guests and recruiting talk.

Joining Larry Blustein on the show will be a pair of 2013 nationally rated prospects. Miami-Dade's No. 1 rated player, Matthew Thomas from Booker T. Washington, and Broward's No. 1 performer, Joey Bosa, from St. Thomas Aquinas, as well as Miami Norland head coach Daryle Heidelburg.

LIVED UP TO THE HYPE
When most saw Thomas play in the spring, they were completely blown away by his athletic ability, speed and 6-foot-4 frame that can perform at the highest level at defensive end, linebacker and safety.

Had an outstanding junior season, sparked by a tremendous performance in a tough state championship loss to Jacksonville Bolles in front of state and regional talent evaluators. He more than passed the test.

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON
There is little doubt that if you saw former Miami Dolphins' No. 1 selection John Bosa play - when he came from Boston College - you can understand why his son, Joey, is so special, and regarded as one of the top players nationally.

At 6-5, 260-pounds, Joey Bosa is fast, strong and is as technically sound as you get at this level. His instincts are impressive and passion for the game is simply off the charts.

ENCORE, ENCORE
Two years ago, Norland finished second in the state to eventual champion Tampa Jefferson, who finished unbeaten. This past year, the Vikings and Coach Heidelburg were the team that came in with all the credentials and finished the season without a loss while bringing home the school's second ever state title.

What do the Vikings do for an encore? With Duke Johnson and others headed off to college, what does South Florida's only defending state champion have for a third run at Orlando?

You can listen to the show live on www.wqam.com. Miss the show, it will be archived on http://sfhighschoolsports.com.
