Idol vs. Grammys in Nielsens - Idol Wins

The squabbling divas, crybabies and tone deaf American Idol Hollywood Week/Auditions shows once again trounced the professional divas, crybabies and tone deaf Grammy Award performers in Nielsen ratings.

American Idol drew 26.6 million viewers for its Tuesday show; 26.3 million for its superior Wednesday edition. The Sunday Grammy Awards drew 19 million, up from last year's 17.2 million who watched an irrelevant Herbie Hancock album of Joni Mitchell covers win its Album of the Year. This year Robert Plant and Alison Krauss unlikely hit collaboration took the top prize.
