Looks like Jennifer Lopez won't be an American Idol judge after all. Buzz says her demands got the best of her and producers balked. Memo: when you have no career to speak of, that's not the time to start throwing demands around.
Not that an Idol judgeship is the be-all and end-all in show business, but it certainly beats what she has now.

Howard, Did you hear that Casey James got signed to Sony Nashville, Allison Iraheta parted with Jive, and Crystal Bowersox's manager left 19E to manage her independantly?

Yep, heard about the first two. Not surprised. Allison's album was not good and sold poorly, it didn't play to her strengths.
I vaguely heard about the Crystal manager, but just can't work up too much interest in Crystal or Lee's post Idol happenings.
As for Casey...I'd sign him into a band as a guitarist, not sure I see him doing anything of note as a solo artist, but I guess we'll see who he's paired with in the studio.

Casey's really good on guitar. Idol didn't showcase his musical strengths at all by casting him as the pretty boy. It's a shame because I've seen some really good YouTube videos of his post-Ifol performances.
I liked some stuf off Alloson's album, but you're right that it didn't play to her strengths. Lets see what Crystal does. She's been encouraging fans to help her demand her original music for her debut album.
