During the Depression in Miami people began to appreciate the natural abundance of things that could be grown here.  Newcomers discovered that a delicate lavender jelly could be made from the _________ grape found near the beach, including South Florida, the Bahamas, Barbados and the Bahamas.

What was his name?

Dubbed the greatest orator in the world, this man conducted the largest outdoor bible class in the world on Sunday and spent weekdays at the Venetian Pools in Coral Gables spellbinding potential land buyers.

Although, Citrus Canker, played a big role in devastating much of orange groves in South Florida 1913, an earlier disastrous freeze, the Great Freeze of  ______ - _______, brought squarely into the foreground the problem of cold protection and resulted in a spread of the citrus industry to more southern parts of Florida.

What was the name of the first African American woman to serve in the Florida House of Representatives and in which year was she elected into office?

After graduating from Florida A&M as a cum laude graduate in law, she went on to serve as the first African American women in the Florida House of Representatives.  As a state representative she ushered in new laws pertaining to Equal Rights and chaired the state of Florida’s committee for International Woman’s Year.  Tragically, she was killed in a car accident in 1979 in Tallahassee.
