What was the name of this kind of grape?

During the Depression in Miami people began to appreciate the natural abundance of things that could be grown here.  Newcomers discovered that a delicate lavender jelly could be made from the _________ grape found near the beach, including South Florida, the Bahamas, Barbados and the Bahamas.
