What is the name of the cattle breed descended from the cattle brought by Ponce De Leon?

When Ponce de Leon arrived in Florida in 1513 he brought with him cattle.  The cattle were brought to America to create a steady food source for the newly founded Spanish colonies.  Before the Spanish arrival neither cattle nor horses had lived in the Americas.  Descendents of the cattle brought to Florida by Ponce de Leon are still alive today.

So Cracker Cows are dissidents? Did they disagree with the Spanish Crowns' policies and get exiled to Florida? Or possible they were descendants of these earlier cattle.
