Nil Lara performs at Coconut Grove Block Party

Grove All summer long, Coconut Grove has hosted Summer Rendezvous Block Parties on Commodore Plaza, for a celebration of local music and culture.

On Saturday (August 1), you can check out Miami-based rock singer Nil Lara. The son of Cuban parents, he mixes Latin and soul influences to create a guitar-based world rock sound.

The free block party starts at 6 p.m., with Lara taking the stage at 8 p.m. The event promises music, dance, food and drink, so if you're looking for something fun, free and uniquely Miami, it's your best bet for the weekend.
