R&B crooner Ne-Yo will take the stage in the Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center in downtown Miami on February 4.
The singer, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, was scheduled to be the headliner of the canceled South Florida Summer Fest 2009 in August, a hip-hop and R&B festival billed as a tribute to Michael Jackson.
Ne-Yo has quickly risen to fame since his 2006 debut album, In My Own Words, with numerous top 10 singles, including "So Sick," "Because Of You," and "Miss Independent." As a songwriter, he's also penned hits for Mario ("Let Me Love You"), Beyonce ("Irreplaceable"), and Rihanna ("Unfaithful").
Ne-Yo is the latest mainstream artist to perform at the Arsht Center, after recent concerts from Mos Def, Julian Marley, and an upcoming show by Nas and Goodie Mob.
Tickets for the show range from $35 to $200, and can be purchased on the Arsht Center's website.
