8th Street Jam to highlight Miami's best

Love the music, food and culture of the annual Calle Ocho festival in Little Havana, but can't stand the massive crowds?

8th Street Jam promises a private block party featuring Miami's best musical acts, on the east side of the Calle Ocho festival on March 14.

The lineup is who's who of Miami, and a perfect primer for somebody trying to delve into the city's rich local music scene: DJ Le Spam and Spam All Stars, Locos Por Juana, Suenalo, Mayday, ArtOfficial, Jacob Jeffries Band, Nil Lara, Xperimento, and more.

Even Pitbull is scheduled to make a special appearance.

The block party will have two concert stages, as well as a food court, beer garden, art display, and a video gaming area.

The event runs from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will set you back $20. Tickets can be purchased here.
