Here's a bizarre pairing:
No, not Nas and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. That isn't bizarre. They're working on a collaborative album, Distant Relatives, due April 20. They even appeared together at the Arsht Center on Friday.
What's bizarre is that they will take the stage together on Day 2 of the Ultra Music Festival, which takes place at Bicentennial Park in downtown Miami on March 26-27.
The festival, which last year branched outside of its usual electronica and house music umbrella to invite acts the Black Eyed Peas and Santigold, seemed to have returned to its roots this year. But Nas and Damian will bring a unique element to the show, as they will surely perform some of their new songs like "As We Enter" and "Strong Will Continue," which have strong socio-political messages and organic rhythms.
Other artists added to the bill include David Guetta, who recently shot a video for "Memories" in Miami with Kid Cudi, and Paul Oakenfold.
The first phase of the lineup was announced in January, and the full lineup can be found on Ultra's website.
