Joanne Ferchland-Parella has been hired as vice president of institutional advancement at Nova Southeastern University.
Jorge Gonzalez, general manager of Mandarin Oriental in Miami, has been promoted to executive vice president of the southern region. He will oversee the hotels on the southeast coast of the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. He will also maintain his position as general manager of the Miami hotel, which he has held since July 1999.
Mark Budwig, president and founder of S.MARK Graphics, has been named chairman of the Board of the Directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

Tania Rodriguez has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Voices For Children Foundation.

Joseph Leuci has been hired as an executive vice president of sales and marketing at 1Vault Networks. The Fort Lauderdale company offers colocation, disaster recovery and hosted IT servers.
He was previously a regional director at Sprint Communications.
Raymond A. Perez has been hired as a senior managing director in the in the transaction advisory services practice at FTI Consulting. He is based in Miami and will lead the corporate finance Latin America practice.
