Carmen Dominguez and Keith T. Ward have been elected to the board of trustees for Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe. It is a non-profit organization that supports local control and leadership of the newly-privatized child welfare system in Florida.
Dominguez is chief administration attorney at Miami Dade College. Prior to that, she worked for the Department of Children and Families.
Ward is president of Quality Management North America. He also served as secretary and vice-chair of the Dade Community Foundation Board of Governors.

Dr. Jaime Lozano has joined the governing board. He is medical director of the C. Gordon Griffith Cancer Center at North Shore.
Dr. Rudolph Moise has joined the governing board. He is also a diplomat with the National Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Dr. Alan M. Silbert has been elected to a two-year term as chairman. He has served as the chief of ophthalmology at North Shore since 1986 and has been a member of the governing board since 2004.

Amy Kropp has been promoted to vice president of Human Resources Operations, responsible for the human resources function for all JM Family companies. Previously she was human resources director.

Anthony Kalliche has been promoted to an expanded role as executive vice president and general counsel. He joined the company in 2002.
Stephan R. Titleman has been promoted to president of the company’s Property Management division. He was previously vice president of the division.
Continental Chief Executive Gene Gomberg, President Richard Strunin and Chief Financial Officer Steven Christensen have been appointed those same positions at Continental's parent company, First Management Partners, based in Hollywood. Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, chief executive of South Miami Hospital, has been named as the new chairman of the board.
Ray Azcuy, director in the Division of Schools of Choice for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and Fred Steinberg, a retired attorney, have been appointed as new board members.

Norm Tripp, founder and chairman emeritus with the law firm of Tripp Scott, has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the State University System of Florida, pending confirmation by the Florida Senate.
The Board of Governors is the constitutional body created by voters in 2002 to guide the State University System of Florida.
He was vice chairman of the board of trustees at Florida Atlantic University, a member of the advisory board of the Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University, and a member of the South Florida Board for the Annenberg Challenge Grant. In addition, he was on the University of Miami board of trustees and a former vice chair and chair of the State Board of Community Colleges. He also founded Alamo Rent-a-Car.

The council is a non-profit organization with a goal to increase purchasing from minority businesses by government entities and corporations, while increasing Minority Business Enterprise’s operating capacity through hands-on business assistance, training and access to technology and capital resources.

Cleveland Clinic in Weston has appointed a new leadership team:
Dr. Steven Wexner has been named chief academic officer. He began his career at Cleveland Clinic in Florida in 1988 and has served as chairman of the department of colorectal surgery since 1993, as well as chief of staff from 1997 to 2007.
Dr. Juan Nogueras has been named chief medical officer. Since 2000, he served as chairman of the division of surgery. He is also the current president of the South Florida chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Mark Sesto has been named chairman of the division of surgery. He has been on staff with Cleveland Clinic in Florida since 1988, when the multidisciplinary group practice first opened in Florida. He has served as chairman of the department of general and vascular surgery since 1991.
Kerry Major has been named chief nursing officer. Previously, she was director of the medical surgical services department and has been with Cleveland Clinic in Florida since 2004.

He spent over 16 years with Sargent/Avborne Accessories, most recently as vice president of operations.
