Vice presidents within HR at JM Family Enterprises

JM Family Enterprises has promoted two employees in its human resources department.

Amy Kropp has been promoted to vice president of Human Resources Operations, responsible for the human resources function for all JM Family companies.  Previously she was human resources director.

Sandra Porceng has been promoted to vice president of Human Resources Total Rewards.  She is responsible for compensation, retirement services, benefits strategy and worker's compensation. She was most recently human resources director.

Vice president of partnerships for The Orange Bowl Committee

Jarrett R. Nasca has been hired as vice president of partnerships for The Orange Bowl Committee, the host organization of the FedEx Orange Bowl, the 2009 BCS National Championship game and Orange Bowl Festival.

Previously, he was vice president of corporate marketing for Sunrise Sports and Entertainment, the parent company of the Florida Panthers, BankAtlantic Center, Sinatra Theatre and SSE Publications.

Brian Sudduth has been promoted to vice president of preconstruction at Miller Construction Company, a design/builder and construction services firm for the educational, office, retail, healthcare and industrial markets.

He was previously director of preconstruction for the Fort Lauderdale company.

Lori Heyer-Bednar has been hired as a shareholder at the Fort Lauderdale firm of Becker & Poliakoff, working in the Commercial Litigation Department.

She previously practiced at Haley, Sinagra, Paul & Toland.

Leadership positions at property management company The Continental Group

Tom Roses has been promoted to president at The Continental Group, a property management company based in Hollywood. For the past four years, he has served as president of Continental's Property Management division.

Anthony Kalliche has been promoted to an expanded role as executive vice president and general counsel. He joined the company in 2002.

Stephan R. Titleman has been promoted to president of the company’s Property Management division. He was previously vice president of the division.

Continental Chief Executive Gene Gomberg, President Richard Strunin and Chief Financial Officer Steven Christensen have been appointed those same positions at Continental's parent company, First Management Partners, based in Hollywood. FirstManagement Partners is a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation.

Appointments to the Board of Trustees at Miami International University of Art & Design

Miami International University of Art & Design has made new appointments to its board of trustees:

Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, chief executive of South Miami Hospital, has been named as the new chairman of the board.

Ray Azcuy, director in the Division of Schools of Choice for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and Fred Steinberg, a retired attorney, have been appointed as new board members.

Director and portfolio strategist at Stanford Group Company

Eddie M. Carreño has been hired as director and portfolio strategist at Stanford Group Company in the Miami Private Client Group office.

He was previously an international wealth management advisor from Merrill Lynch & Co. Global Private Client Group in Coral Gables.

Associate dean of Academic Affairs at the Miami International University of Art & Design

Mary Mapes has been promoted to associate dean of Academic Affairs at the Miami International University of Art & Design.

She joined the university four years ago after a career as a graphic designer. Previously, she was publications director for the University of Miami’s North-South Center Press, advertising art department manager for The Miami Herald, art director for John Held Advertising and associate art editor for McGraw-Hill.
