Pro bono chair at Hunton & Williams
Hunton & Williams partner Thomas Julin has been appointed as pro bono chair, leading the Miami law office in all of its pro bono legal efforts.
He has provided a wide variety of pro bono services to clients, which include representation of the student newspapers at the University of Florida and Florida International University, prosecution of political asylum claims for Haitian and Nigerian nationals, establishment of an absolute privilege for clients to complain to the Florida Bar about their lawyers, defense of animal rights protesters, representation of parents of public school children required to take Bible history classes and defense of a blogger for criticizing pet store practices.
