Chief executive of Broward Health Broward General Medical Center

James Thaw has been hired as chief executive of Broward Health Broward General Medical Center.

He worked for nearly 10 years as chief executive of Lafayette General Medical Center, a community hospital system in Louisiana.

He starts on July 21. Interim CEO Jane Tuthill, who stepped in when former CEO Joe Scott resigned in late 2007, will remain in a senior executive leadership capacity.
